The GP Psych Support service provides general practitioners with free patient management advice from a team of psychiatrists. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. GP Psych Support provides specialist advice in drug & alcohol psychiatry, child & adolescent psychiatry as well as perinatal psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and general psychiatry. Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care Initiative (BOMHC)

Better Access Initiative

Announced in the Federal Budget 2011-12 a reduction in the rebate GPs can access for completing a Mental Health Treatment Plan and reducing the cap on sessions provided by Allied Health Professionals from 12 to 10 sessions in a calendar year.
