Nominations to the Board

The Bayside General Practice Network (BGPN) Board of Directors is the strategic and policy engine that generates the framework within which, staff act to realize the aspirations of Bayside General Practice Network Ltd.

The Board represents the interests of its members and the community, and is accountable to them for the performance of the Network. The Board and the non-executive directors govern rather than manage the organization. The CEOs role is to lead and manage the organization and to be accountable to the Board for its performance.

BGPN has a board of eight Directors, as per its constitution, comprising six GP primary member Directors and two non-GP Directors. GP Directors are nominated and elected by the membership for three year terms, non-GP Directors are appointed by the board for the same term of office.

The Board has a Recruitment & Remuneration Committee, a Health Reform Committee and a Finance & Audit Committee and elects a Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Chair of Finance & Audit Committee following each AGM annually.
